- 50g/2oz Margarine
- 75g/3oz Hard Cheese

Your can use pretty much any hard cheese you like in this recipe, I know how much you love your cheese!
Method
Making the Dough

Sieve the flour, salt and mustard together in a bowl then rub in the margarine.

Mix in cheese and add enough egg to make a stiff dough.
Preparing for Baking

Roll out thinly and cut into strips.

Place on a greased baking tray.
Baking

Bake in a moderate oven 180c/350F, Gass Mark 4 for 10-15 minutes.
I think the person who made that first comment is an idiot. I followed this recipe and made a whole bunch of awesome cheese straws. Absolutely delicious and very easy.
I changed the recipe slightly, I used double measure of everything but I didn't find the need for 2 eggs, it' all bound up nicely with the 1 egg.
Don't listen to the moron who made that first comment these cheese straws are great tasting and easy. Perhaps it was too stupid to follow the recipe correctly.
Just followed the recipie with great expectations from the picture. However, unfortunately, I found them to be rather dry and tasteless.
