- 1 egg yolk
- 2 oz sugar
- 1½ oz chocolate. melted
- 1 dstsp black coffee

Beat the ingredients for the cake and pour into a sandwich tin lined with greased paper. Bake in a moderate oven until set.
Once cooled, cut through middle to give a top and a bottom.
For the icing, melt the chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan of hot water. Add in the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Spread evenly on the bottom cake. Put the top back on to create your sandwich.
