- 4oz plain flour sifted
- 4oz butter. softened
- 2 ½ oz caster suger
- 2 eggs
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- 4½ oz blueberries
- pinch nutmeg powder

delicious muffins that my kids ravage so make plenty as they really do go like hotcakes. grandmothers recipe so please enjoy

Cream the butter and sugar together then slowly add eggs, Mix for 3 minutes , add flour, baking powder, nutmeg and refrigerate for at least an hour, preferably overnight.
Place a spoonful of muffin mixture into each muffin case, filling each to just over halfway. stud each muffin with about 8 blueberries.
bake in an oven set at 2000/400f/gas 6 for 20 minutes or until golden on top. serve with ice cream , cream or custard. enjoy
