Ingredients
- 100g Gram flour
- ΒΌ tsp Chili powder
- Β½ tsp baking powder
- Β½ tsp Turmeric powder
- Β½ tsp Ground cumin
- 1 large Onion thinly sliced
- 1 green chilli - seeded and finely chopped
- 25g finely chopped coriander
- salt
- Cold Water
- Vegetable oil for frying

I love these, made them when I was younger and still enjoy them now.my kids love these with salad/onion salad and mint raita (see my other recipes for mint raita)

Sift the flour into a large mixing bowl then add the chili,turmeric,cumin,baking powder,salt,chopped coriander,onions and chili and mix well.
preheat the deep fat fryer to 180c/350f
Gradually add enough water to the flour mixture to form a thick batter mixing very well so the onions are well coated.
Very carefully drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil and fry and keep warm whilst you cook the remaining bhajis
drain on kitchen paper and serve hot.
makes 10-12 bhajis
you can also add sultana's and sugar to the mix before you fry for something different ,)
