Basic Biscuit Dough

This is a simple recipe for kids. Just mix the ingredients roll out the dough and get out the biscuit shape cookie cutters

   This is so simple and quick to make. Just put the butter and sugar into a bowl and mix together with an electric mixer.
   
   Add the egg and the vanilla and continue whisking then spoon in the flour and stir - use your hands to knead into a ball of dough.
   
   On a surface covered with flour - roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick and use cookie cutters to cut out shapes.
   
   Cook the biscuits for 10-12 minutes until brown and then leave to cool
