- 7oz Porridge Oats

Uncle Phil was a very special part of our family.Always made loads of these and being cooked in his Rayburn gave them a distinctive smell and taste! He enjoyed altering recipes!

Put margarine, sugar and syrup in a saucepan and stir over a low heat till melted.
Add oats and mix in thoroughly.
Grease a baking tray and press mixture in.
Oven 180C bake for about 25 minutes till firm and golden.
Mark into fingers when out of the oven, then leave till cold before removing.
Could add some sultanas in final stir if you'd like to.

These are yummy and very easy. The mixture is even nicer before you bake it!!
